This is a new, made-to-order original artwork. The images featuring the character “楽” are examples; the buyer may request one preferred character.

Custom Hand-Painted Hanamoji Artwork

This listing features sample artworks based on the Japanese character “楽” (Raku), a character associated with joy, ease, and enjoyment.

The artist created these examples with the wish that each day may be lived with a light heart and a sense of happiness.

Hanamoji is a colorful form of hand-painted decorative character art. Its roots are associated with traditional Chinese auspicious decorative character art and flower-and-bird lettering, in which flowers, birds, dragons, and other symbolic motifs are incorporated into written characters.

This listing is for a custom, made-to-order artwork.

You may select one Japanese or Chinese character for the artist to paint especially for you.

Examples include:

• 愛 - Love
• 夢 - Dream
• 福 - Good Fortune
• 幸 - Happiness
• 喜 - Joy

After your order is placed, the artist will create your selected character individually by hand.

About the Three Sample Artworks

The three “楽” artworks shown in this listing are all sample works previously created by the artist.

This listing is not for all three sample pieces, and it is not for one randomly selected piece from those three examples.

After purchase, please tell us the one character you would like the artist to create.

The artist will then hand-paint one new artwork specifically for your order.

The three samples demonstrate the range of the artist's hand-painted style.

Colors, brushwork, flowers, dragons, birds, pandas, and other decorative motifs may vary from piece to piece.

The artwork you receive will therefore not be exactly the same as any of the three sample images.

One custom hand-painted artwork is included per order.

Hand-Painted One-of-a-Kind Artwork

Even when the same character is painted again, the brushwork, colors, flowers, auspicious motifs, and small decorative details will naturally differ.

The finished piece you receive will therefore be an individual original artwork created specifically for your order.

Order Details

After purchase, please provide the one character requested for your artwork.

The artist will review the order details and begin creating the artwork individually by hand.

Once production has begun, changes to the requested character or cancellation for personal reasons may not be accepted.

Please review the size, artwork style, and order details carefully before placing your order.

Preparation Time

Please allow approximately 7 days for the artist to create the artwork and prepare it for shipment.

As each piece is individually hand-painted after the order is confirmed, preparation takes longer than a standard ready-made product.

A Personal Visit to Hikawa Shrine After Completion

After the artwork is completed, the artist personally visits Hikawa Shrine with the finished piece.

Hikawa Shrines are traditionally associated with prayers for meaningful relationships and good connections, protection from misfortune, good fortune, and various wishes for happiness and well-being.

During her personal visit, the artist gives thanks for the connection with each customer and takes time to wish for the happiness and well-being of the person who will receive the artwork.

For the artist, the creative process does not end when the painting itself is finished. She approaches each piece with care through the final steps before it is delivered to its new owner.

Please note: This personal shrine visit does not mean that the artwork has been officially blessed, purified, certified, approved, or endorsed by Hikawa Shrine.

The artist visits the shrine as a regular worshipper and personally wishes for the customer's happiness.

The photographs shown in this listing are examples of the artist's work and are provided to show the general style and range of possible finishes.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

• Change of mind
• The finished appearance being different from the buyer's personal expectation
• Natural differences in colors, brushwork, or motif placement resulting from hand painting
• A request to change the selected character after production has begun
• Other buyer-preference reasons where the item itself is correctly made and as described

However, if there is a genuine problem with the item, including:

• The artwork arrives with a different character from the one confirmed for the order
